If you have a guitar with seperate volume controls for the different pickups, and you want to set one to zero so you can use the selector as a killswitch, does flicking the selector constantly do damage/wear to the selector?
So I can flick it a hundred times a minute for a morello-type solo, ten thousand times a week, and it still won't wear?
It will only cost 50p to replace so who cares if it does wear out after a year

But looking in vintage guitar dealers you see well used '60s and '70s strats with the original switch. Don't worry about it.
