to me, the best song i like to chill out to is 1979 by the smashing pumpkins.

what are your favorite songs to relax to?

My favorite chill out song would have to be any acoustic songs. That or sublime/slightly stoopid/Bob Marley/Long Beach Dub Allstars.

No offense but I hate smashing pumpkins...Just the vocals though.
Why "Emo"? What the hell are they? A crossbreed between manic depressives and the crow?!LOL!!

"Stay Out of Trouble" by Kings of Convenience, or anything by them really. Most Sigur Ros, too.
#9
Jack Johnson's "In Between Dreams" album.

i think he wants to dream theater to be considered more metal, so he dyed his beard.

Lmfao, this is the best thread ever, aside from the fact that it involves a girl being harpooned through a tent.

Daydream in Blue (I Monster), It's All Over Now Baby Blue (Dylan), Move On (Jet), Older Chests (Damien Rice), One (U2), Each Time I Bring It Up, It Seems To Bring You Down (Lambchop)...there's loads of stuff I listen to to chill out but they're some of the best I can think of offhand.

^ Exactly what I was thinking, just shove on the whole of 'Moon safari'. If I had to pick out a song though I'd possibly dig out 'daydream in blue' by I Monster.

Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullsh*t in order to be comfortable?

That's when you know you found somebody special. When you can just shut the f*ck up for a minute, and comfortably share silence.

...or O by Damien Rice.

I agree. Albert Pla's version of "walk on the wild side". The video's pretty funny too.

Two fantastic albums there.

As mentioned before, Moon Safari is great.

If I had to choose one song though it would be Sky Holds The Sun by The Bees.

It's got to be either teh piano version of Teenage Angst by Placebo or The Mars Volta's album 'Deloused In The Comatorium'. Televators is such an awesome song!!

By the way, do The Mars Volta countas Indie/Alternative here? I'm not really sure what they actually are. It's definately alternative of some kind...
