i have the above pedal and am struggling to learn how to use it.

i can match the oscillator to what ever note i play but if i a dfferent note ithas a seisure!

anyone help me grasp the magic of the oscillator pedal??

Thats what a ring mod does unfortunately. It'll only be in key for some of the notes that you play (if you tune it to the root it'll be root + 5th), the rest will be atonal. You'll have to play with the mix/intensity control if you want to be able to hear the original note too.

so is it only good to play a handfulof notes depending on where the oscillator is set?

To avoid the atonal sound, yes, but that was what it was designed for, its not really a fault.
