I saw a 1989 strat in my music school today, I talked to the guy about it and he said it's all orginal hardware... the finish is purple (which I know is a little odd) but it's in perfect condition, no scratchs or dents. I played it and it sounded great! The guy who I spoke with about it said I could have it for around 750$ all said and done. Is this an good deal?

I liked the late 80 mid 90 necks I had an American 92 for a couple weeks before I traded it back for a LP studio.

^ '89 strats are pretty valuable, I'd get it, even if it is purplr (which actually makes it unique!)
