Reconfirming my fears,
Was your number one goal,
But I was sick and tired,
Of feeling the emptiness of this hole.

I should've known you'd be,
The tears in me all along,
You'd be the fears that grew,
Past youth and beyond.

You were the phone calls,
I did not receive,
You were the siren,
I knew would deceive.

You were the blank pages,
In diaries about you,
You were clouds,
In my sky of blue.

You were the best,
Of the worst in me,
You were the ghost,
And the curse in me.

I was sick and tired,
Of the broken lies,
The used up excuses,
And the dried tears in your eyes.

You can forget beauty sleep,
You're way past your prime,
I'm sick of your bull****,
It's just about time.

Frame my picture,
And hang me up,
The closest thing to suicide.
The closest thing to suicide.

i dont get it. you have all this stuff about what "you" were and then you say "The closest thing to suicide" it just doesnt make sence like you were just trying to put a song up.

um??? you wouldn't make a very good critic.

1. Connect the ending lines AND the stanzas
2. Its metaphorical, not literal, i don't think one thing in here is literal.
3. ??? I mean did you really search for the meaning?

Its not forced at all, it flowed out of me pretty quickly... I didnt really have to jam in a line

edit: also, what relevance does the title of the song have to the text? Titles don't always have to be BECAUSE of the certain line in a song, and in some cases they define the song.

bumping is wrong.

This piece is cliche and does nothing for me.

The title screams teenage angst

As does the fact that you didn't really make a point to connect the two clearly enough for the reader to really grasp clearly.

I think these two are my favorite verses out of all of them.... but I dont feel as if they should both be in the same song.
"I don't care if it hurts. I want to have control. I want a perfect body. I want a perfect soul. I want you to notice when I'm not around." - Radiohead
