REASONS WHY THIS IS:

1. youre in the wrong forum
2. the MT-2 is a horible pedal
3. its more then likely your amp
4. they use 3000$ + amps

Sorry if i came across as an ass. Im like PMSing or something....

which is hard for me to do...

you'd worship me once you have my tone..
anyway here goes.

put everything at max except for the level and the low.

level - 12 o clock
low - 12 o clock as well.

other than that, high, middle, mid-freq and dist on max. and there you have something for a7x, trivium, metallica, pretty much a good tone actually.

Ibanez RG450LTDBC
Boss GT-8
Boss MT-2 Metal Zone
Behringer guitar
Behringer V-Tone GM108 Amp
...and my fingers.

^ NO NO NO !

Gain 12 or 1 O'clock
High 1 or 2 O'clock
Low 2 or 3 O'clock
Mid 10 or 11 O'clock
Mid freq 1 O'clock

I used to put it through an old Marshall JMP head and 4x12 and it sounded awesome.

maxing your gain is bad bad bad that is what is causing the hum/squealing. you DON'T need to max it out to play metal. you'll sound louder without it cranked anyways...and you're single note runs will stick out more.

i know i usually put it just shy of max, because of the feedback issue...thanks, ill try those tones later...but theres one problemo... how can i play lead stuff without that nasaly wah kinda sound.

well man u wont get much better than that the metal zone is a very twangy s h i t sound i guess it is ok too f u c k around with but if ur serious about playing just get a better amp with higher gain the metal zone is not that great of a pedal

try this man. I find it gives me enough crunch with nice clean mids. then again, i dont really play any avenged, but i think its still a great sound.

level: 5
high: 8
low: 8
mid: 5
mid freq: 6.5
dist: 7.5

this tends to work well for stuff like August Burns Red, Unearth, Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, etc...
