I know they are a pretty popular band im just wondering what your opinions are of them i really like them Link
#2
To me, Into Eternity SHOULD be good but just don't quite get there, lol. When they get something good going they go into some breakdown sort of thing with no transition between. It's like they took Dream Theater and Opeth and diluted it with something really terrible.
#6
Haven't heard of them in months. I do like some of their stuff, but they have a bit too many alright songs on their albums and not enough good ones. Saw them live also and they were good. I think they'll get there stuff in place and become bigger with the next album or the one after.
#7
Yeah they are a good live act. I don't like some stuff, other stuff is pretty good. Sort of a mixed bag, these guys.

great band, there were a bunch of times that i was supposed to see them live, but they cancelled, and then the one time i saw them recently, they weren't on the bill but they filled in for a band that couldnt make it, on the suffocation/cryptopsy/aborted show, plus into eternity, great line up
My sig is better than yours

I really do not know what to make of the clean vocals. At first I thought it really didn't suit the music, which is really quite heavy, but the more I listen to it the more it gets me. You must have to have quite a good creative vision in order to make the two styles work well together.

They go about the same way as me in writing songs.

Minus the really gay high vocals.

Not a band I will listen to again.

i don't see any reason not to. Although, when i was little, i had a bad experience and pissed all over my feet, i've since improved my aim dramatically and always get in the hole.

all ive heard of them was one live show. i wasnt impressed. actually i really didnt liek it but they played before nevermore and opeth so they didnt have much of a shot. i will give them another chance. any songs that yall recomend?
#19
Buried In Oblivion is way better than their old album, so I will only be refering to that. I think Into Eternity are great, the songs have great hooks, great melodies, odd meters, tasteful screaming.. i think they're excellent.

Which CD do you consider their best work?
I have the Buried in Oblivion and I'm about to get The Scattering of Ashes

Buried In Oblivion is better than Dead Or Dreaming, imo. Cant find their first one.

Anyway, they rock! Point Of Uncertainty \m/!

IE kicks ass imo...

that's really all I can say

Has anyone heard The Scattering Of Ashes yet??

It's very good, the album has more flow than BIO. The only problem is that lacks a song that is just different than the rest, or that stands out. In the case of BIO would be SiD.

Would BiO be the "Stand out" track on BiO?

I have heard "The Scattering Of Ashes" a preview of most songs ,I must say they somewhat over do the clean vox on some songs but overall the new album from what I have heard is very solid

I changed my mind this album is very good, at first I was put off by the vocals but overtime it grew on me. I would even go as far as saying that this album is better then Buried in Oblivion. Best tracks are probably:

"A Past Beyond Memory"-where the vocals I think where hit head on and are perfect melo death kind of transgressions. Also they really know how to change up this song and I think it's a very nice moment around 1:30-2:00 which leads to a pretty cool solo.

"Suspension of Disbelief"-the song has a pretty good chorous and quite a few very nice solos which fit with the song pretty well. There are very few moments of the harsher vocals but they are felt towards the end which I think suits the song.

"Severe Emotional Distress"-strange song actually with a good build up in terms of vocal harmony. The drums are pretty superb on this song same goes for the change in vocals. It's a strange to hear "Emotional Distress" with those harsh vocals though very funny. The song kind of reminded me of FF at one point.

Same, but none the less a pretty decent band.

great band IMO. the only thing i don't like about them is the melodic vocals like they do, but i don't like that in any band so its okay. buried in oblivion is my fav. album.
#33
I heard one album by them, and it was so good

Guitars/Drums/Vocals(all types) were all very very good.

I have saw IE live many many times since I live near their home city of Regina and I also own all their albums including their first one which wasn't released with century media, and I have to say they mother****ing kick ass, they are original with most of their styles, they put on a good live show, and damit they kick ass

NP-Timeless Winter

According to their website, they are doing a headlining tour in 07', has anybody else got any info about who else is on it?

I really dig Into Eternity. All of their albums are top notch and the instruments sound like they are played by people who know what they are doing. Tim Roth and his guitar own so bad.

This band roxxxxs s000 much
- Treat people the way you would like to be treated.
- Don't do to others what you wouldn't like others to do to you.
- Live and let live.
- Always tell the truth.
- If someone looks at you, just give them a nice smile they won't soon forget
