Thats the point of a fuse. When your fuse is blown, that means that you are having too much voltage going through your amp for it to properly function. The fuse blows to ensure that you won't be able to turn it on. You could have some shoddy diodes.

You turn amp on, current goes through, too much - fuse blows, current is cut off and is earthed. This is so you won't be meeting Frank Zappa anytime soon.
