I would like to remove my neck pick-up (it sounds like crap and I never use it) , so I was wondering what to do (I know that I gotta start by unscrewing the contour of the pick-up - all I'm wondering is how to remove the wires and stuff)

just use a soldering iron to unsolder the wires from the pot/jack/selector

Why? I don't even plan to use that pick-up position in the future so if I **** up, it's not a big deal. Plus, I already know how to solder things, so it's not a problem doing it the other way.

Cool, I was just about to make a thread about the same thing, but with a middle pickup (its an Ibanez, H-S-H) and I'm wondering about the same thing.

Also, does anyone know wany ways of blocking up the gap of where it used to be?

duct tape????

Meh, stickers are more attractive. Inside it, put tissue paper or something that can fill it to make it full and not just hollow, hollow = easily making ur sticker break or producing a hollow kind of sound.

OR, you can just adjust the screw and sink it really really deep in the cavity. Also disconnect ur middle pickup. Yngwie did the same thing.

that wud make the guitar look really crap but if thats the look you want. and duct tape will do nothing for tone, neither will an empty gap with duct tape over it.

your best option is to sink the pickup in as far as it will go and disconnect it. that way the visual aspect is still there and you dont have the pickup affecting your playing
