I'd go with the Korina myself, but that's just me.

Dude, i have a epi V. I think its a good guitar but u can get betr stuff for ur money. I would personally get the white les paul custom.

Korina. The Epi '67 Vs are made of really cheap alder. Alder isn't necessarily bad wood, but this low-grade schlock is.
Guitars: Custom Lado Earth 2000-3, Custom ESP Explorer, BC Rich KKV, Gibson LP Studio, Greco SG, El Degas Stratocaster, Agile AL-3000, LTD EX-351

You won't get anything for your 3 year old squire. maybe a 10 year old boy will give you 10 bucks for it...

My advice: throw it into the garbage container...

below 320. They're the only decent guitar makes which are cheap and are good for all types of music playing!

i have the explorer and i love it, good 'buckers in mine!

i didnt like the les paul custom when i tried it (i was deciding between the les paul and the korina explorer)

i reccomend the Korina!

thanks for the advice is the korina got any decent tones in the pickups. Is it true that the les paul custom has overdrive on it(rumour to me)

Pickups can't have overdrive (well they *sort of* can if they have an active boost or something).

The Les Paul Custom doesn't have any active boosts or anything like that.

"Overdrive" comes from your amp.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

Korina. What type of Squier is it? There aren't all junk. You should probably research it at a local music shop and if it's clean you could probably get between 50-75% of its new selling price. But the difficult part is finding a buyer who wants a used one since they are so inexpensive new. Don't give it away. You could always upgrade the pickups and mod the electronics and tuning pegs and it will sound like a premium guitar.

^ keep the squire as a back up. I'm sure your going to want to change tunings eventually. I'm doing something similar with my Epi LP 100, keeping it, and modding the hell out of it. Then it will be a worthy backup to my Gibson Firebird
