I'm new the forum and I've been playing guitar inconsistantly for a year or so, and after playing a few songs with a couple people I've been looking into theory more and more so we can play more laid back and use less prewritten music. I'd really like to find a good book that has an overview of theory and scales, with good explanations of chord construction, finding what key a chord/song is in, and applying it all. I've found a couple articles on the internet, but they are usually either what I already know, or I can't understand any of it, and I also don't want to learn everything from random people who might not know what they are talking about. Do you have any suggestions?
