i was looking into purchasing a marshall dsl but, i dont know if the 50 or 100 watts would better suit my needs.

id go with the 50, cause the 100 would have to be unbelievably loud to get good tone. with the 50 it will overdrive sooner. Much more manageable.

i also have heard that some people say 100 watters get more of a "crunch". they are louder, though as said. So yeah, if you aren't playing major gigs, probably the 50 watter.
