I recently bought an epiphone flying V at an auction and therefore did not know about extreme top-heavyness of the guitar. Has anyone had this problem and fixed it? Perhaps some sort of weight would do the trick?

That's the problem with kids today. No upper body strength.
Back in my day, when you smashed a guitar, it stayed smashed.

If you really wanted to, you could maybe attach a weight to one of the lower horns? I dunno.

Tie a fat kid to the body. Problem solved. No more neck heaviness thanks to the heavy kid.

By top heaviness you mean that it's neck-heavy, right?

If so, then you could consider moving the bottom strap button to a spot somewhere on the back of the guitar, closer to the centre of gravity.

I dunno, mine is the gothic version so I don't know if the korina is any different but I'd try one before you buy it.

When I was playing the Korina version (which I was gonna buy) I didn't find it neck/top heavy, it felt balanced.

like said...

a thick leather or suede strap to grip ur shirt.
moving the strap peg to the most balanced spot.
adding weight to the guitar cavity, body, or bottom strap area.

all work.
