Its just poorly made. The wood doesnt really matter if the pickups, tuners, bridge and electronics are bad.

So what, i could get a piece of mahogany and a piece of maple with some pickups, strings and glue and call it a guitar. Like the other guy said. Its cheaply made.

^^^How many of those judging the guitar actually played it?

I'm buying two guitars from Rondo and I'll be giving a full report.

Along with the fact that its cheaply made.
the mahogany can be low grade
and so can the maple

that is exactly the reason. Never believe the discriptions, they always make the guitar seem like it will make you sound like hendrix, when it will probably make you sound like a little kid screaming and blowing a kaazo.

Its probably a good intermediate guitar for cheap made offshore but not quite on par with the Agile for wood and build quality. Its prob better than $249 BC Riches or $200-$400 agathis LTDs.

I can't wait to get mine! I am ordering it Monday.

If needed I have a set of high quality grover tunners and a pair of Duncans waiting in the sealed package to be installed into this guitar... but we'll see!
#12
It probably is VERY mediocre with all the stock stuff, but with a new set of pickups it would probably be decent.

you can't go wrong with mahogany. Not for £80, change out the electronics, new tuners, it looks good.

Only the people who buy from Rondo reckon their guitars are good, but then again im from australia so i can't try their guitars. I still stand by my statement... bad quality.

actually you can look up the specs of there pickups on the site there pretty decent output, an yes on a lower model like that they would prolly use b grade mahogany like in there specsheet for there les pauls but for only a lil more you can get grade A an up an there so cheap cuz its a barely known brand so you dont pay for the name, an its made overseas an bought an sold for wholesale prices, so when compared to gibson or another company this one is actually not the rip off

isnt rondo music just getting stocking these guitars from companies like agile and SX? i dont think Rondo music makes these guitars.
Sx guitars are more like low-end guitars compared to agile. im going to get a SX bass from a local guitar shop sometime soon.

this is because sx is made by a company called jim deacon. Jim deacon guitar sound crap, infact the it has its minor faults, the g string is a bit tinging, and the guitar hums, although they look very nice, they're also made cheaply in china, so try it out before you buy one, type jim deacon on google and you'll find the official website, look at the sx serious!
