So i have a fender dg series and the problem is that the 11, 12, and 13 frets all do not work. i either get a buzz or the same note thru all three. its been a problem for almost year now and i wanna be able to use those frets again.

my friend told me to adjust the truss rod but idk if thats the right solution but if it is id like to know how much and whatever else i need to know to do that.

(and its not the strings ive gone to a lighter gauge and it still doesnt work)

Truss rod adjustment won't work for that high on the fretboard. You need your frets re-crowned, filed or replaced. The reason you're getting that is that your 13th fret is higher than the rest, so that if you fret the other notes, it's getting in the way.

Good question. I honestly don't know. You'll have to wait for other replies on that one.
