Fender has the best cleans, IMO. No mention of them, yet. Traynors are some of the nicest tube amps available. And Ampeg, although known for their bass amps, make extremely nice tube amps.

I can think of some damn good bands that use Laney, and only Laney. There's no best amp, but there are some bands with great tone.
#11
Well a "best amp"is different from person to person. Minesare an AC30 forcleansandaPlexi or JCM800 for dirty sound.

because they're not Fallen Angel but they're Ashdown (the company...but I think they changed their name recently...or it was only for their bass amps, can't remember)

and because they're really only entry level high-gain amps. Nothing too special

yeah man. Ashdown in more known for their bass gear. Which IMO is great stuff.
And the Fallen Angel series, i wouldnt think at least, would fall into the "best tube amps" thread. Even in that price range there are better amps.

Oh yeah - Sunn amps are great.

Yeah they are. If you can find one lol

Oh, i was playing a halfstack in a local store. Had never seen fallen angel amps before. Even at low volumes it sounded amazing.

Thanks for clearing it up
