Hey Guys,

I've been really reading into Splawn amps recently, but the thing is that the website doesn't really say much about them. Anyone know anything about the Pro Stock and Competition models?

Thanks,

physalis

well, i know all of the basic information, but the website is very vague on what exact controls are on their amps, and u cant figure it out from the pictures. i am interested in the competition and pro stock models

competition has only 2 overdrive channels, no clean. single eq and gain controls(treb, mid, bass, gain, presc, volume).

pro-stock is the same, but 100w, cleans, and a few other goodies.
Ibanez -> Peavey -> Eardrums

Apparently I'm on some list of people to listen to..?

Splawn only has about 6 actual physical dealers, most of which are east of the mississippi.

ah, thats pretty gay. i really hate trying to find stuff here. we have one mesa dealer i know of, and they usually only have stillettos. we have an orange dealer too, but they have one orange amp most of the time. but they get some good used stuff.(soldanso slo-100/bogner uberschall, yeah i was there for a while).
#10
wait, so the pro stock has a clean channel?

dbs: stilettos are supposed to be hot-rodded marshalls a la the splawns. have u tried them out?
#12
hell ya, i mean ur buying something for them. they should let u do almost nything u want, lol.

btw, when u do try it, could u pm me or maybe start a thread because i am very interested in the stilettos and might buy one

version 1 was more classic rockish ( i heard it could get up to van halen but that was it)

version 2 has substantially more gain, and it will probably do old school metal
#16
i think it says on the back or something. ask the store people, they should know. finally, if its 1600 or above, its version 2

well, the splawn page does not give very much info on the competition and pro stock, and i was hoping to hear from people who have actually owned/ordered the amp

there are a bunch of guys in the amp forum at HC that own Splawns, you might poke around there if you want to talk to owners.

Well. Yeah.. I don't mean to be rude (I was in his other thread) but damn man, use the search! I mean, think about what great things various search buttons give us

Wireless internet

MUSIC!
Radio (Hah, great my ass!)

I don't ever forget about the search button =x

the reason why im asking is that there is next to no information on the two heads im looking at: the competition and pro stock. there is only one thread on the competition
#24
Ultimate-Guitar.com isnt really a super-knowlegeable forum. There are a few users here that know what they're talking about (and they mostly post on other forums too.)

Other than that its just a bunch of people regurgitating info.

If you're really concerned about the two amps in your range you might want to shoot the company an E-Mail, they can tell you the most about their amplifiers.
#25
well the thing is that theyre probly really biased (duh duh tchhh) towards their own amps, so I want to get an opinion from someone that actually went through their buying process.
#26
Well at the very least you can ask them about the technical side of their amplifiers.

Anything you want to know in particular? because I don't know, its pretty vague 'does anyone know about these amps?" Well, yeah, what do you wanna know?
#27
yeah why the fuck would you ask a question at UG? lol

email the company, or go to a forum with more than just "get the cube" users

The pro stock can be found here:

http://rocksolidamps.com/description.php?II=60&UID=2006051619144467.164.51.163

Its description says its like the Pro Mod WITHOUT the clean channel, otherwise its teh exact amp.

Derek loves splawn, btw, I'm sure he can help you with any questions you need to ask.
