I have been experimenting with Drop D tuning (DADGBE) after seeing a lot of drop d songs around.. Now I tuned down and all of a sudden I cant find any good songs (Just my innate search skills I think). So I was wondering if you guys know about any good drop d rock songs for beginners?

Pretty much any rock song is in some form of dropped tuning. Most of the time drop D. One reason is because it sounds better distorted and gives you that nice grunge sound and also some singers voices don't get strained with a dropped tuning. Besides Coheed and Cambria, Dio, and very few others you really don't hear too many high pitched rock singers.

Most Guns N roses songs ( not all but alot ) are in drop D,
also check metallica aswell. ( some of their stuff might be in drop C , Im not too sure.
Listening to : Guns n' Roses, Slash's Snakepit , Velvet Revolver, Snow Patrol and Muse.

I wont die until I've learned every riff in the world!

I've never learned any LP songs, cos I thought they were all in drop A# or something and couldn't be bothered with that.

But most GNR (if not all) is in standard Eb tuning.

Dear Prudence is in drop D. Though it isn't quite as rockin' as these other songs it's good nonetheless (or is it none-the-less?).

Nirvana has got some nice drop D songs...as does...well I can't think of any others right now.
#28
Alright... I'll give you some.

Killing in the Name-Rage Against the Machine
The Thing that Should Not Be-Metallica
The End-The Doors
Heart Shaped Box-Nirvana (it's actually Drop d down a half step, but it sounds fine in Standard drop d)
Nirvana-All Apologies (Same parenthesi as above)
Moby Dick-Led Zeppelin

Happy drop "d-ing"
