Don't know if it is the right thread for ask this question, but do you know what brand/model is that acrylic see-through guitar John plays in the Dani California Video?

I've saw Dave Grohl playing a similar guitar in the "all my life" video too...

In case the point of the video went over your head, seethrough guitars are just another stupid fad, he's probably never actually played that guitar, what kind of ****ty tone are you going to get out of a plastic guitar?

It's just a perplex body. I think Grohl plays a PRS with a perplex body.

Since when did the style/material of the guitar depend on the sound?

I'm sure the material of the guitar body has absolutely NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER on the sound. That's why I made my guitar out of playdo and cardboard.

A) It's already been said, they're a Dan Armstrong perspex model.

B) They actually sound alright, very heavy though.

C) They cost a ****load. The Reissues are just over a grand I think.

tsk tsk tsk wood gives the guitar that balls and chunk tone. no wood = crappy tone! dont buy it if your planning to do leads
one should not feel threatened by opinions contrary to his own

basically you shouldn't buy the guitar anyway if you just want it for looks...get a good guitar with a sick flametop if your that into looks.

They don't sound all that bad, BUT they are heavy. Ryan Peake of Nickelback uses an acrylic Gibson Flying V live.
Schecter C-1 Classic (Antique Amber)
Ibanez JEM 7VWH
Crate Palamino Class A tube combo
Digitech RP80 Multieffects pedal
Ibanez TS9 DX Tube Screamer

The Wavecaster is awesome. And it sounds good, but that might have something to do with the gallon of wave-fluid and oil inside it.
what happened to the proposed Kirk Hammett flamenco album?

His acoustic didn't sound good with wah pedal, I suppose.

Slash's slide guitar (the Travis Bean) which he uses on Live in Tokyo for Bad Obsession has a see-through neck, and it sounds kickass. Don't know about the body though.
