I know my fret board and i'm a decent musician. I can learn almost any tab i see, but i'd like to compose. I don't want to jump straight into scales because what good are scales if i can't compose in keys. Can anyone explaine to me the Key of C. I know why its good no flats and no sharps. But how do I use it. Are the letters such as C stand for notes or Chords? Also if its key of C can i use C7. How do i use each chord or note in key to compose? Any info please.

There isn't exactly a short answer to this one. People go to school for a long time to learn music theory, so...buy a book?
