My Birthday is coming up very soon, July 27th. Ok maybe not VERY soon, but soon. I was debating with myself for what to ask for for my Birthday, the last one where i get a present. *turning 18*

Anyways, in the end I decided to ask for a new guitar. I need your guys' (and girls') help. I prefer to keep price range within $400, $500 at max. I was looking at an Epiphone Firebird. I mostly play rock (not metal), blues and jazz. I was wondering if i could get any suggestions.

Thanks ^.^
4/4 is just so boring. <_<

I think it's just a matter of trying everything in your price range.

And splash out on an amp, too!

Actually, 1988 is when he was born, still not 18. But who really gives a crap about that...

Ooooh.. A Firebird, good call.

that's why i said turning 18 lol

Do you think an epiphone firebird would be good?

Not gibson, mind you. I already have an epiphone studio les paul and it holds up pretty good, but just wandering.

Sorry jimmy. Yeah, the firebird is nice. I prefer the les paul, but whatever floats your boat ;P

EDIT: Your latest post (as of now) requires some editing. What about a PRS SE? They suit the mentioned genres pretty well imo.

Yeah my les paul is good to me, but i want to try out something else, i've had it for 2 years already, and it still is treating me nice. I just want to try out something with a different sound

I love Firebirds. As long as you don't go crazy on the distortions (and you can find one) the Epiphone VII is a great guitar. I don't recommend the studio though, seemed like an awkwardly shaped Epiphone Les Paul lol. Other guitars to look at. The PRS SE's are supposed to be nice, or you could go the opposite route (if you looking for something completely different) and get a Fender (I suggest Telecaster).

My dad has a muddy waters signature telecaster. It's a great guitar don't get me wrong, it just doesn't have a full sound, ya know?

SG's and Firebirds are pretty good looking, and im looking up a VII now.
