"No Nigga! I said Deaf. You hit this and you aint gonna hear shit!"
#4
Only like three of the posts say that. A few members made actual good lists.
Dai put like 30 "true hardcore" bands.

Don't be ignorant.

No, you're an idiot because you're an ignorant elitist.
I have cancer, fight me.
YOU WON'T.

Ok, what is making me an elitist?

And I'm being ignorant because I'm trying to inform people of real hXc?
"This shit here's called Death"

#17
No, because you're saying that a majority or hardcore music isn't actual hardcore music.
Don't play dumb.
I have cancer, fight me.
YOU WON'T.
#18
Thats because it isn't.

It's ****ty metalcore.

Thats not hardcore. Hardcore is PUNK. not emo/metal.

No.
Punk is punk.
Hardcore is hardcore.
Metal is metal
and emo is emo.

All forms of it are still hardcore. Get used to being open minded.
It will help you in life.
I have cancer, fight me.
YOU WON'T.
#20
Ok, you know what? I'm going to be open minded about music.

Hey guys have any of you checked out the new The Game CD? it's punk to the Max.

Led Zeppelin is so hardcore.

There are boundaries to genres. Hardcore is sped up, energized punk rock. Thats what it is.

Next thing if people are going to be open minded about hardcore, people are gonna think Snoop Dogg is hXc.

#22
Why? because I'm the one arguing with points and not just saying "Youre a ****ing idiot", "Youre an idiot you dumbass", "Stop being such a moron".

"This shit here's called Death"
"What the fuck? You mean I'm gonna hit this shit and die?"
"No Nigga! I said Deaf. You hit this and you aint gonna hear shit!"
#23
At what point is hardcore music not hardcore music?
In your eyes, are all other forms of 'core not hardcore music?
I have cancer, fight me.
YOU WON'T.
#24
Hardcore music was started in the 80's with Bad Brains and Black Flag.

I don't remember Bad Brains having double bass pedals and pig squeals in the background.

#25
So music doesn't evolve?
Rap sounds the same as it did 20 years ago?
Punk sounds the same as it did 20 years ago?
There's absolutely no change of style in any genre of music?
How amazing.
I have cancer, fight me.
YOU WON'T.
#27
New Punk is ****. It aint punk anymore.

You have a point, But I don't see how a Hardcore Punk Band like Black Flag turns into Atreyu.

That ain't hardcore. It's metalcore. Same With A7X, Job For A Cowboy, Emery, and all those other Metalcore/Emocore bands that are often called hardcore.

#28
My main arguement was that there's already a thread about this right next it.
Metalcore is still hardcore though, it's obviously different then Black Flag and such but it's still the same genetics in the music.
I have cancer, fight me.
YOU WON'T.
#29
What Genetics?

There are NO similarities at all.

They might have been influenced by Hardcore, but they sure ain't Hardcore.

Read the book American Hardcore. Theyre making it into a movie soon.

#31
No it's not.

I'm heavily influenced by Public Enemy and Wutang, but I'm not in a Rap Band.

Leftover Crack is influenced by Slipknot, yet their not a ****ty nu-metal band.

So sure, influences play a key role, but what really matters is what you play.

Emo is hardcore though, just sayin'

Check out Good Clean Fun napalm, they're hardcore with fun lyrics.
#34
Emo is a cousin to pop-punk. Metalcore may be closer to Hardcore but Emo isn't. Emo is usually softer than hardcore

Well that's because metalcore is a subgenre to hardcore...
Hardcore is totally Metalcore's uncle.
I have cancer, fight me.
YOU WON'T.
#36
I know I'm just saying emo really isn't hardcore, it's more pop-punk. I don't want to argue over Hardcore and Metalcore I just think that emo is more pop-punk.
#38
I guess that depends. The Ramones are debatable today but I wasn't really aware of when emo started, I'm more into pop-punk. I just know it and pop-punk have alot in common.

You don't know what the hell you're talking about, and im sick of explaining about fall out boy not being emo. So instead of going on about its history, i'm gonna do this.

Emo = Rites Of Spring, Orchid, Dag Nasty, Circle Takes The Square, Heroin, Mohinder, Fire Party, Indian Summer, Saetia, Amanda Woodward

Not Emo = Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, Early November, Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein, My Chemical Romance, The Used, Emery, Bullet For My Valentine, Thursday, Bright Eyes, Taking Back Sunday

Emo is emotional hardcore, not emotional pop-punk.
