i dont even play bass and i know what a pop is.lol. (i think) its where you pull the string up to make a sort of slapping sound when the string hits the frets.

staccato is when you play the note quick and then instead of letting it ring you mute it fast to make it sound choppy.
pop is used alot when slapping, its where you get the tip of your finger under the string just enough to pull it up and make it smack the fingerboard to make a snapping noise
