Does anyone own this amp? I want a nice loud amp that will play over drums. I play grunge, some punk, metal, classic rock, stuff like that. I play Nirvana, Metallica, AC/DC, System Of A Down, bands like that. I also don't want to upgrade anytime soon. Does anyone have any other suggestions if this won't suit my style and preferences?

Here it is

i have a crate gt120 and its pretty nice for a starter amp, you can get it loud enough to play over drums and still have it be pretty clear but in retrospect i should've bought a blues junior and a distortion pedal, they sound much much nicer and are quite loud, probably loud enough to play over a band.

Crates are awful - horrible digital tone.

Blue Voodoo's are okay if you replace the tubes but their solid state stuff mostly blows.

How much money are you willing to spend?

I didn't want to spend more than $550, but if I have to, I'll reconsider my price range.

you need to realize that you dont need a halfstack.

tube combo man.

or maybe something like a Roland Cube60 or a Hughes and Ketner Edition Blue 60 if you have to go solid state.

I don't think I absolutely need a half stack, it's just something I saw. I already have a Cube 30, but I wanted to get something bigger and more versatile.

I'm guessing a traynor blue is an amp, and the maxon is??? I dunno, what are you talking about? Sorry, I don't know much about amps, just use 'em.

if the one im thinking of is the one you want the cabinet will blow its speakers if its on too high because the head puts out more watts than the cab will handle

A study shows that 92% of all teenagers have moved on to rap music. Put this in your profile if you are one of the 8% who stayed with the real music

I just looked at the traynors. They look like great amps, and they get great reviews. I was looking at the features and specs and stuff, and they're excellent. They're a little too pricy for me though, but like I said, I don't want upgrade anymore. Maybe I should just wait until I get more money, experience, knowledge, skill, and so on before I do this. It would be stupid to buy something a little better than my current setup and then have to upgrade again later down the road, but thanks for the help. I'll definatley be looking into traynors when I have the money and stuff.
