Is this setup true? I really like his tone on songs such as Plug in Baby and Hyper Chondriac Music. Can this sound be acheived through a DSL? Or is the majority of his distorted sounds acheived by his large selection of pedals?

Nowadays Matt is using Manson guitars. They're custom made, by a guy named Hugh Manson who lives in Devon I think it is. His website is here:

You can check out some of Matt's guitars out in more detail here:

and also:

As for his amps and effects, I have little idea, sorry. Try looking on musewiki.com

Lasers in a guitar?? Pretty damn funky!

Hyper Condriac Music is a slow and sort of spaced-out version of Hyper Music. Its on disc 1 of Hullabaloo. Its a really good version of the song.

Thanks for the replies so far, any one seem 'em live and seen which amp he's using? I'll take a look on the website now. I'll also check out Hyper Music, I was only aware of Hyper Chondriac! (not a huge Muse fan, you can probably tell)

Plug In Baby was a fuzz factory in front of his amp, Hyper Music was a distorted piezo I think.

^ Thanks for that info, but what's a distorted piezo?
