Even The Best of Us Stereotype by: William Sitze

Climb up to the top to fall
is this not how we all walk
Onward to more of what's left
an angel, to me she said,

"Boy you've got quite a nerve there"
"What woman would even dare?"
"How could she put up with you?"
"What woman? Who? I ask, who?"

And when it all goes to hell
will you be able to tell
who has stayed true and has not <-----------(chorus)
too much of more (is) what you've got
(x2)

I said in my kindest voice,
"I treat my girls like my words"
"Each chosen with gentle hands"
At this (she's) unable to stand

I Then continued to speak,
"Angel, why are your legs weak?"
She replied conclusively,
"It's just so hard to beleive"

And when it all goes to hell
will you be able to tell
who has stayed true and has not
too much of more (is) what you've got
(x2)

At her, I stared with a look
Her words, my breathe it just took
She said, "Son, it's not your fault"
"The wrong things i have been taught"

I said, "We all make mistakes"
"But, yours have bit me like snakes"
She said, "Boy, I'm sorry for"
"All the mistakes I've implored"

And when it all goes to hell
will you be able to tell
who has stayed true and has not
too much of more (is) what you've got
(x2)

And when it all goes to hell
will you be able to tell
who has stayed true and has not
too much of more (is) what you've got
I'm Back.

When Autumn comes, it doesn't ask
It just walks in where it left you last
You never know when it starts
Until there's fog inside the glass around your summer heart
