Great musician and composer. He obviously is best known for Tubular Bells, but I love his stuff from Five Miles Out, Platinum, QE2 and Crises (my dad is going to lend me a few others). He gets some great sounds out of the guitar.

Any other fans on here?

Too clinical but technically brilliant. I prefer a little looser playing that has more feeling, but that's down to my blues roots.

How to achieve Frank Zappa's guitar tone:
Quote by Thefallofman
Step 1: Buy a Gibson SG
Step 2: Insert Green Ringer, EQ, 3 dead squirrels and a microwave into said SG
Step 3: Plug in and freak the **** out.

he prob doesnt play with as much feel as most bluesmen
buth wit the blues the gutar is the focal point n needs 2 be more vocal
wheras MO tends to write long compositions with numerous instrments usually
played by mike himself' although i do like blues myself.glad 2c the thread getn sum traffic(2posts in 3yrs)!!!!!!!
it must just be just us Paddies that like MO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
