So yeah, I need to get an EQ pedal/want to get one.

I've got about 200 bucks canadian in gift certifs to work with.

I've been considering the Boss EQ, (which is about 150-160 new, for comparison), but I want to see if there's anything cheaper than can get the job done. I've also heard about people having problems with "hissing", when using it in their setup. :/

So yeah, please suggest to me your almighty EQs.

I have the Boss EQ. Its great when youre jamming in your bedroom but whenever I play with my band, it ****s my sound up. You could also chekc out the MXR EQ

^Are there drawbacks to it due to the fact that it costs like, pocket change?

I've also read reviews that say the BOSS EQ friugs up your sound when it is off. What's with that?

Its just a bad thing about 90% of boss pedals.
I believe MXR makes 7 band and a 10 band eq pedals.

Are you going to be leaving it on the whole time? or using it occasionally?

I just went out and snagged a Peavey rackmount 30band EQ for like 140USD. Works great. No his or anything. IMO..'Hey an EQ is an EQ'.

Really? Cuz the reviews I hear/read about those Danelectro pedals are horrible. Apparently they kill everything about your tone according to a lot of people.

But I have a Cool Cat chorus pedal and I fnckin love it. So idk.

Well I'd like to be able to use it for volume boosts too, if the need arrises.

I like my MXR 10 band EQ. It cost $120 US and really gave my amp the sound I wanted.

I have the danelectro fish 'n chips, it doesnt suck tone at all, and its quiet quiet if you are reasonable with the volume, except if you boost it to the max, then of course it gets a lil hissy. But yeah, no problems at all, a great purchase!
