I'm looking for a way to amplify my acoustic, and of course, I have a limited budget. I'm thinking of getting a Seymour Duncan SA1 humbucking acoustic pickup, and then the Korg AX3A effects pedal (I just really want reverb and chorus, but any other effects that would be useful I'll use too).

However, due to my limited budget, I was wondering if instead of getting a good pickup and average effects, I should get a cheapy piezo pickup and some great effects. Anyone got any suggestions?

Cheers,

Ben

Effects can only do so much if your tone is crappy to begin with.
Go with the good pickup first then get the effects. You'll thank yourself down the line when your guitar is still purring like a bitch on heat.
Get on top of my coffin woman.
