hey chaps just checking up on something. when i switch my dsl onto standby (so on, but not ON) i get quite a bit of buzz. is this normal?

Yea, it's pretty natural, as long as it's a quiet-ish buzz.
If it's loud it's probably a problem with something.

i started picking up a buzz on standby, then i realized i had on a dimmer light nearby.
clicked it off and the buzz went down about 80%.

sometimes its as simple as that.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.

Yea^ When I bring my guitar+amp near to the PC, it buzzes a lot, try it away from loads of electrical stuff.
