..i know the 5 pentatonic shapes..how many shapes occur in major/minor etc..any examples would be cool..

One shape for every note in the scale. Because there are 5 notes in the pentatonic, there are 5 shapes. Because there are 7 in the major/minor, there are 7 shapes.

Youre talking about modes right?

Well yea there are seven, Ionian (the major scale), Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian (minor scale) and Locrian. In any key, they all have the same notes, just in different places and positions and shapes.
