do i pick the open b strrin then quickly hit the 5th and 8th fret right after word? caus when i do that it's hard to hear the 5 and 8. and should i use my ring finger or pinky or is that personal preference?

yes you pick the open B, then hammer on the 5th fret with your first finger and then hammer-on your pinky on the 8th fret while still holding your first finger down, it usually helps to hold down the 5th when you hammer down the 8th, you could even not pick the open B and it would be like the thunderstruck intro, i highly recommend you learn the thunderstruck intro, its good for technique and cool sounding
