have any of you guys heard of him? i just bought his album (ainsley lister - ainsley lister) and this guy can seriously play some blues/rock music, he is also rather young, so he has years ahead of him. his influences are very average (SRV, clapton, albert king etc) but i really like his approach to the blues, discuss..

Yeah Ive heard of Him, but hes not all that well known here in the UK so i doubt many will have heard of him in the US.
Anyway, what i heard of his playing i liked- great rhythmic soloing style - I also like the way he plays rhythm- combining Chords, a bassline and Lead lines together to create interesting patterns.
He has an interesting collection of guitars too- some of them very cheaply bought- like that handmade ES-335 he uses? Apparently he bought that for £150. I guess that shows that good guitarists can sound good on whatever gear they use.

i've heard good things about him but have not heard him yet.

i ought to get round to it as he comes from my home town, leicester.

I've been imitated so well I've heard people copy my mistakes.
