is it safe to use windex on my pickups?

i have a c1 classic.

gold covered SD JB/59

after band practice my guitar is like a sweat haven.

the pickup is like all smudgy coz of sweat.


so yea just wondering if windex is safe for removing dried sweat on the pickup.

Can't seeing it being a problem, as long as you dont get it on anything that is exposed or anything.

Dont get it on the body, It will probably take the finish off.

You might rub the gold off the cover, if it's just gold plated (which it most likely is). This will happen over time of course.
