I have a question about painting my guitar. I have a fender stratocaster, that is purple, and quite frankly I am tried of the color. I was looking to change the color, but not pay a lot for doing so. I was just wonding, will spray paint work? Or do I need to buy a special type of paint.?

Thanks for the help

spray painted guitar is going to look pretty lame, if you are going to the effort of that you may as well stencil a pattern, it won't looks so obviously uniform spraypainted, if it ever came to that for me I would probably do something like this

but then again, anything's better than purple, why'd you even buy it?

I bought it from a cousin, it is more of a navy blue, but in the wrong light it looks purple.

Anyway, I want a color change, and thanks for the help.
