I just need a little help here.

I've begun to get a little more serious on learning the intro to Bombtrack by Rage Against the Machine. I've gotten it down pretty well, but whenever I'm done playing to the secnd or third repeat, all I have is a lot of notes just ringing. Can someone suggest like, a muting technique that would help for this?

I use a combination of left hand muting, and muting it with the finger that has just plucked the string. Quite tricky at first - just try it slow until all notes are clear and not left ringing..

Check out Rocco Prestia style where he plays with the index and the middle fingers while muting with the pinky and the ring finger in his left hand.

if you're playing with your fingers use your playing fingers to mute the strings as you're playing it. thats what i do.
