Me and a few friends are starting a new band and are going to arrange a gig at our primary school...

We want to do about 10 songs...

we have decided 2 songs...
(no slipknot)

Holiday - Green Day
Boulevard Of Broken Dreams - Green Day

green day is for wannabes. so no. get some chilis on n maybe some new english indie bands eg bloc party, rakes, subways, rakes, hard-fi, kaisers, franz maybe. also muse would really start a kick-ass show. and blink 182. so basically anything except green day.

and don't forget!!!!!

Bro Hymn - Pennywise

and since you're playing green day anyway, Basket Case should be really catchy, i already LOVED it when i heard it the first time, so they should too

and will you be playing like REAL metal?

Try some Foo Fighters songs, such as Times Like These. Some Chili Peppers stuff might be good too. If you want a fast and heavy song to get people going, go with Paranoid by Black Sabbath. It's simple and allows you to rock out and try to get teh crowd going with you.

Never mind what I posted before, I missed the last post lol. How long do you guys have for performing? Cause we could suggest some of the longest songs, and you won't be able to play them all due to time.
Current Rig:
Gibson Firebird Studio
Limited Edition Schecter 35th Anniversary C-1
Schecter Jeff Loomis Signature 7 FR
Ashdown Fallen Angel
Custom 7 Firebird from Ignition Custom Guitars (check them out)
ESP Phoenix

Thin necks make you play faster because guitars with thin necks sound thin and bad, and you play fast to distract people from the bad tone.
