I bet you didn't expect me to start this thread did ya? HA!

Anyways, are there any fellow Indietronica fans out there?

I like The Knife a lot, with The Silent Shout being their best album; definitely.

What in the world is Indietronica?

I tell you what, how many subgenres do we need these days?

I'll have to check it out.

I cant wait until music genres get so crazy, theyre like 50 letters long.

'Silent shout' is indeed a good album, took a while to grow on me, don't think its especially great still, but good.

Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullsh*t in order to be comfortable?

That's when you know you found somebody special. When you can just shut the f*ck up for a minute, and comfortably share silence.

I checked them out after you mentioned them a while ago and I can only agree, very good stuff.

I suppose artist such as The Postal Service, Dntel, Four Tet, Boards Of Canada, M83 and Múm would be regarded as "indietronica". Can't say I've heard anything by The Knife, they sound interesting.

I'm sorry if I didn't describe it good.

Indietronica is a sub-genre in Indie music. It's the same as Electronic Indie etc.

There are just a shitload of names to the one and same subgenre!

Search for ''Indietronica'' at www.wikipedia.org

It'll clear things up for you
