so i purchased this pedal:
ISP Noise Decimater. it kills excess noise and feedback

When i plug it in to the end of my effects chain on my clean channel, the sound is horribly distorted. do you guys know whyy?
when i plug it into my effects loop on the back of my amp...nothing happens
am i just fu*king retarded or something?
help me please

I have no experience with the ISP, but I've never heard of a noise gate adding distortion. If you plug the guitar straight through the ISP only, does it still distort? Is something clipping the noise gate input? When you tried it on the fx loop, did you make sure the the fx level was turned up, whether that be a blend or level control?
