Hey guys, sorry if this has been posted before. I looked, but couldn't find any relating threads. So, how can I achieve a similar tone to that of Frusciante's in Under the Bridge? (Amp settings etc)

Thanks

Fender Strat or Tele Marshall JCM maybe? Just a touch of overdrive with a touch of spring reverb.
Looking to buy a Fender Jagstang, u sellin?

And some compression happening on there

I think on the recording it was actually a Fender Jaguar, but in general, any Fender should work fine. Into a clean amp (not shure if its Marshall or Fender but live he uses Marshalls and it sounds damn good)

This is how i play it:

very slight overdrive, so that you barely notice it
neck pickup
Compressor

(numbers in o'clock)
Treble- 4
Middle- 2/3
Bass- 10

I use fingerpicking for the intro of that song, would it sound better with a pick?

According to an issue of Guitar One that I have...

Pickup/Position: Single-coil/Neck
Gain: 4
EQ: Bass = 7, Mid = 6, Treble = 5.
