I have seen lots of topics surrounding "Which strap is your favorite?", but not this particular one. Specifically which one has the thickest padding. I like the 3-inch straps but hav enot until now needed to really use one, because I always sit with the guitar on my lap when I am playing. But I have been wondering about being comfortable with the guitar hanging on my shoulder. Suggestions?

Look for a sheepskin strap with the wool padding, or just buy a strap with padding on it and glue some open cell foam to it.

Well if you're sitting while you play, you probably don't need to be using the strap in the first place. If you're having trouble finding a strap that fits with your guitar (mostly it's weight), try finding a lighter guitar. If the pickups and such mean that much to you, replace those in the new one with your previous guitar.

^Eeejit, he said he's just starting out playing while standing up. And who buys a different guitar 'cause their strap doesn't work? I don't have a lot to say, I've only ever had one strap, a "fender" one I got free with a ****e acoustic, three years ago.
The nylon ones get alot softer over time.
These go to eleven...
