My ampeg SVT 3 pro head started being very distorted last night during a show. I changed the cable, and adjusted the settings, and still seemed to be no use. Along with the head I use an Ampeg SVT classic 4x10 cab. When I connect my head to my cab I use a guitar cable, but I don't think that's the problem. Some say it's probablly the tubes, any input?

Using a guitar cable can really affect the sound of a cabinet they weren't meant for that much power goign through them, but i could possibly be the tubes too, tubes go bad and need replaced, get a Speaker cable and if that doesn't work buy new tubes
