Hello y'all,

Today at a concert I saw a guitarist playing an electric guitar that didn't have any pickups :S It wasn't a hollow-body or an acoustic-electric or something, it looked kind of like a strat and it also sounded like one. How can the vibration of the strings be sent to the amp without there being any pickups?

Sounds like a line 6 Variax.
They don't have any pickups and can model various guitars.
Cant remember exactly how they work, google it???

Must have been a variax yes, I think the pickups are somehow hidden inside the guitar but then you can change to different styles to acoustic guitar for ex. and then tha guitar takes the vibrations from the strings and like convert them to sound like an acuostic guitar, its all digital, thats what Line6 do.
