Im finding that sometimes when i do a long legato lick on my high E I sometimes "fret out" because the string is extremely (and unusually) close to the edge of the fret board, even at high notes.

is there any way of moving it closer in to the B string?

this is on my RG370DX, which has an edge pro II trem BTW

The high e string is always going to be fairly close to the edge of the fret board, to my knowledge there is no way to actually move a string up or down. Just don't bend it down and it should be alright.
