Who do you think is the King of Harmonics. Or simply a song where harmonics are used extremely well. I would say Dimebag is amazing at harmonics. And will always be

No, he's not. He's dead. He WAS amazing.

Wylde is pretty handy with pinches, as were Van Halen and Rhoads.

Zakk also

Zakk just rapes harmonics.

His songs are pretty much pinch harmonics with the occasional normal note in there.

Dimebag was pretty good with that kinda stuff but I haven't seen him utilize them all that much, but then again, I only have Pantera's greatest hits.

KK and Glenn are an amazing duet, and I've heard some great harmonic parts...a lot of stuff off Painkiller has some very nice harmonic stuff.

Zakk wylde. Take a BLS CD and count how many harmonics you hear.

I know he's dead. But i put it that way for a reason. So his memory lives on. I'm not going to throw it out there and say "Dimebag is dead. henceforth he's not good at harmonics anymore" Man is this a ridiculous thing for me to be arguing about. I understand where you are coming from. There are alot of good people.

Zakk's use of harmonics is a bit uncoventional, as he uses them to create riffs rather than to accent notes in solos...

Still, his harmonics are the most intense. He picked it up from Billy Gibbons.

Eddie Van Halen invented harmonics. He's the best in my book.
what happened to the proposed Kirk Hammett flamenco album?

His acoustic didn't sound good with wah pedal, I suppose.

Dime was the squeal king. Zakk has the technique mastered too, but he tends to overdo it. To me, the beauty of pinch harmonics and stuff is to add that extra 'oomph' to your licks or riffs. Dimebag understood that and knew exactly where to put his squeals with just the right expression on them. It was kind of a little sonic 'treat'. Zakk tends to build riffs based around his harmonics and to me, and I actually find the overuse a little annoying.

Mattias IA Eklundh, Jaco Pastorius.

There's more to harmonics than pinch harmonics, you know.

And to the bloke blowing smoke out of his ass above, EVH did not invent harmonics.
He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt.
He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice.

I like Steve Vai's use of harmonics, as do I like Paul Gilbert's. The most interesting for me is the koto effect Eric Johnson gets with his harmonics though.
My name is Tom, feel free to use it.
