Do not go with the squier, no matter what. My first electric was a squier and it cracked, never was in tune, and was just a piece of crap. I got rid of it after 5 months or so. Now 6 years later, I find my self playing an American Strat with custom DiMarzio pickups. Can't get any better.

Start off with the Oscar then.

The Schmidt. My friend has one, and I was rather suprised by it. It's an entry level guitar, but it's really quite good.

Depending on your budget, try for the smallest of the Roland Cube series.

Hey guys! I just started playing electric guitar should I get a Gabson Lay Pall or a Femdor Startokaster. I like the picks on the gabsons but i like how sweet femdors look. Beforre i get a gabson what company makes them?

i was planning on spending near 50 dollars on the amp... or i figured i could play the oscar acoustically so i could save up more money for the amp
