Beating the elderly is a big favourite of mine. Also, pushing kids over and kicking pregnant women in the womb is fun.

Right now we're called 'Various Artists' just to fuck over people with iPods

Pre-Mesmerize/Hypnotize SOAD is Drop C.
Pretty much any Black Label Society song is Drop C.

Also try playing any Drop D or B or whatever drop tuned song in C. Offers a different sound.

shadows fall. Nvm thats already been posted. I think the autumn offering is in drop c.

Arch Enemy with Angela play 2 steps down and with Johan they played 2.5 steps down. Not drop C although you could transpose some of the songs up/down a few frets

There aren't many metal bands that play in drop c, they are usually hardcore, nu-metal, etc. that doesn't mean that you can't write some metal stuff in drop c!

Umm.. I have a bit of a noobish question. With a normal Strat, with standard EBGDAE tuning, you tune down into drop C right. Is there an easier way than using a tuner for it?
#21
All That Remains, Drowning Pool, Godsmack, Hatebreed, Ill Nino, In Flames, Killswitch Engage, Kittie, Mastodon, Metallica(St. Anger album), Mudvayne, Shadows Fall, Soulfly, Static-X, System Of A Down

i know not all of these bands are metal but they are all in drop C or standard D(drop C with the low C tuned up to D)
#22
System of a down - Holy Mountains. It takes a while a to learn but once you do you'll never stop playing it. Also SOAD Through Struggle by As I Lay Dying.
#23
Make sure your tuner is chromatic, if not its gunna be almost impossible to tune down.

If I'm not mistaken, drop C is D A F C G C

There is not an easier way, if you want to be perfectly in tune. But if you want to, you could do this, start at the bottom (low e string, and work your way up)

E| tune to 2nd fret low e
B| tune to 5th fret e
G| tune to 6th fret b
D| tune to 5th fret g
A| tune to 5th fret d
E| tune to 3rd fret a

EDIT: before you try this, make sure someone else agrees this is right, I'm not up on my tunings.

your both right, system used drop Db for their self-titled, mezmorize, and hypotnize. and they used drop C for toxicity and steal this album.
