lol I posted a thread on them a few weeks ago and it turned into a World of Warcraft thread.
I love that band.
Very brutal.
Generic musically, but great stuff.

I liked that thread.

Seneca is very good. Like you said, generic, but something sets them apart and makes them better.

lol
I was in Charlotte a couple of weeks ago actually.
I didn't have time to see if they were playing a show or not, but if they were I really would have liked to went.

AP was right, they are what metalcore should sound like.

I got their S/T cd - and I have to say I really like it. +5 on everyones "generic but something sets them apart". Really neat - remind me of some local bands I really like - but with a much more refined approach.

macbeth - ive got the cd than - just gotta catch you online. than again maybe you got it as well by now? thanks for the heads up on these guys.

its pretty good - alot of it is definately sorta run of the mill feeling, but theres some moments that just leave you thinking "holy shit? that was awesome?" - not in a pure technical kinda way but just....neat?

My friend's band played a show with them a while ago. I didn't go, but they're local. NC baby!

Yeah, sorry about that, I don't have any of their stuff.

Yeah, Seneca is a great band.

I'm glad that so many other people have heard of them.

My band was going to cover "And Then Time Goes" or whatever that song is called, but we didn't for some reason.

Anyways, good band.

Those guys are pretty good friends of mine....they were supposed to be playing a Tremont Music Hall toonight, but they decided to play somewhere else, so now Advent is playing. They are amazing though, really nice guys....but their drummer looks so out of place in their band if you see him in person

I saw em a while ago with My Hero Is Me. Wasn't bad, but I didn't like them enough to look into it much further.

Hmm judging from your pic you'd fit in more with a fat busted tribute.

It's true, Seneca will be taking some time off this winter, and doesn't plan on playing any shows until spring time. We're not breaking up. We just have normal lives and want to spend some time focusing on other things. Touring is not out of the question, but just isn't possible right now. We'll play shows when we feel like it, write songs when we feel like it, and record when we feel like it. It's fun so we still do it. When it stops being fun, we take a break. Bottom line. This band will always be around, playing music on our own terms, and we hope you enjoy it.

The shows on our page will be your last chance to come see us for a few months, so try to make it out if you can. We're going to begin tracking our 3rd full length during this time off from playing shows, so be on the lookout for some new material. We'll see you all again this spring.

Doesn't look like they've broken up unless they just haven't told anyone. This is from September.

Sick band, want to see them badly.

i saw them at this shitty venue near my town with maybe 20 people like 2 or 3 years ago when they still had the original vocalist. my only complaint is they weren't as tight as they were on the first record due to the numerous guest vocal spots on the record
