What is the most emotional song for you. Mine would have to be Life Without You - Stevie Ray Vaughan, especially the live version.

Life Without You

Don't want to be an actor pretending on the stage
Don't want to be a writer with my thoughts out on the page
Don't want to be a painter 'cause everyone comes to look
Don't want to be anything where my life's an open book

Heh, i made a thread about this earlier on in which i stated the exact same thing as you and asked if anyone had the live version in .mp3 format. (still looking)

I completely agree though, one of the best and most incredible preformances of all time without a doubt.

I'm also a fan of this live show of texas flood. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1445259825700629552&q=stevie+ray+vaughan

But Life Without You is still better. Just a more emotional song i think.

Cheers!

Emotional means different things to different people.

Still a good song though.

got to agree with that, but his 'life by the drop' is brilliant as well.

I've been imitated so well I've heard people copy my mistakes.

Definatly up there, extremely emotional.....

One other fave of mine is Deep Purple's: Mistreated, i know most people probably wouldnt classify Deep Purple as blues but this is. Definatly worth a listen, one of my all time favorite guitar tones in the "Live in California 1974" version of this song.

The second improvisation of Michael Brecker on "Flying High", the first track of his collaboration album with the Mccoy Tyner Trio.

He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice.
