Just wondering if everyone could post some of their favourite licks when jamming and whatnot. I personally don't really know any and I think it would be good to have a thread where people can have quick access to common licks.
(Has this been done already?)

I think it's the first coupla notes in a metallica solo, but it works with any note values.

Bluesy lick, best repeated very fast a a lot of times. Used on Led Zeppelins 'The Lemon Song' and 'Dazed and Confused'.(Shown here in Em)

Another fast repeating blues lick, here in Am. See the solo in 'Stairway to Heaven', where Page
repeats it 10 times.

A simpler version of the second lick.

'Train sound'. Good for starting a blues song, the slide from 11th to 12th fret is very fast.

Two cheesy blues turnarounds.

^ If your second example is from Stairway to Heaven, I think it should be on the B and G strings.
